A hospital claimed that5 minutes in an ER trying to save a young man's life would have been acceptable to family if the young man had lived. Tying a family to debt slavery is OK when you hold a person's life in your hands.
This shows just how greedy our privatized health care system is!!!
But what is worse is that is only the price that those without insurance pay.
Insurance companies negotiate prices that are much lower for themselves even before taking off the co-pay so that those with the least ability to pay pay the most.
I remember from past decades it used to be that uninsured were given a break.
We need real health care reform now.
