A video report at ABC News says that nearly 2 dozen paramedics have been killed in Gaza in the past 2 weeks, and that the UN is suspending "all it's humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza because of what it calls acts of hostility toward it by the Israeli military". I think I caught the exact words of the reporter through viewing the pertinent portion of the video multiple times but still consider that a paraphrase.
Point of contention: (Some reports say the UN worker killed Thursday was a food driver. But the video explicitly uses the words Ambulance driver and paramedics. The reporter even asks the spokeswoman about the targeting of ambulances, getting the usual boilerplate propaganda.)
So the suspension of the humanitarian aid by the UN was not the result of one worker's death, but the result of a systematic targeting of UN relief personnel. Most of UN staff, of course, comes from the local population even if the important people who speak to reporters on television are as pale as you and I.
I can't begin to comprehend the depth of the evil involved in that.
Apparently the Gazans have been totally dehumanized in the eyes of the Israeli. Hey, they even have their own concentration camp. It's called Gaza.
The video in which this was reported is with an ABC report on the stoppage of the UN aid, which doesn't have the courage to mention all the other aid workers that have been killed "U.N. Approves Gaza Cease-Fire Plan".
Brave journalists? I think only the guy with the microphone telling the real story has much credit on that score.
(BTW, this report was actually on the
