Caveat. Los Angeles also gets some water from the volcano fields of the Eastern Sierras and the valleys near them, but still uranium in the water is uranium in the water. And just the fact that I mention the volcano fields should tell you that we've virtually been promised a disruption from that source at some time.
In fact, last year the Bush administration was touting the importance of the Colorado River and it's reservoir lakes in supplying the West with water.
Now, not so much.
(BTW, I was beginning to get a warm fuzzy feeling now that the Bush administration was about to waddle off stage. I'm thankful that they've reminded me just who they are.)
