Can he get any more coddling than that?
Richard B. Cheney, the Vice President of the United States, has either endorsed baptising terrorists or giving them a nice war bath, and he could't possibly think that baptising them (without conversion) would do any good.
This comes from Mr. Cheney's words of the past few days when he endorsed dunking terrorism suspects in water, but later explicitely ruled out waterboarding, a form of torture in which-- oh come on don't we all know by now what waterboarding is?*
So he obviously thinks they haven't had the opportunity to keep themselves clean and sweet smelling.
But be careful, Mr. Vice President. If you give a terrorist a bath, he's going to want a nice manicure to go with that.
It's a slippery slope, Sir
*From Washington Post article (linked above):
Waterboarding, in which a prisoner is secured with his feet above his head and has water poured on a cloth over his face, is one of several methods of simulating drowning that date at least to the Spanish Inquisition. It has been specifically prohibited by the U.S. Army and widely condemned as torture by human rights groups and international courts.
Inquisition. Yeah, that's a good place to get ideas for interogation methods. </sarcasm>.
If we re-elect their poodles to control Congress, we are serious basket cases.
