The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me
Fact Check on Bill Maher Show Guest's Assertion That Tim Kaine Has No More Experience Than Sarah Palin

Journalist Michel Martin said on Bill Maher's first show of the season (see clip above) that Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia, one of the main choices for the Democratic Vice Presidential nomination had only been governor for two years himself. The implication is that the media is dumping on Palin simply because of sexism or perceived liberalism. Now Ms. Martin, an NPR journalist, was, I believe, handed that line by someone, or maybe she is a Republican herself, but whomever created it was relying on the fact that most people are not going to go googling, even if they have a computer at hand, while watching Bill Maher. So they'll be left with the impression that Ms. Palin isn't as comparatively ill prepared as she is.
Bill starts to respond to Ms. Martin, but Ferguson breaks in. I don't know if Maher was going to put people straight, but the direction goes away from the subject as can happen in a talk show, and unfortunately Governor Corzine who probably knows the truth couldn't bring himself to play the GOPtart in reverse and break through with reality.
The truth is that that Tim Kaine was Lieutenant Governor of Virginia for four years before becoming Governor a job for which the description includes presidency of the commonwealth's senate. Before that he was on the Richmond VA City Council for 7 years with two years as mayor being part of that. In Virginia major cities like Richmond do not have county governments above them. Counties often shoulder many governmental responsibilities for cities, .
Ms. Palin ran for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Alaska to her credit but lost, apparently resurrecting her political career when the stink from the governor's office drove her party's pevious governor out.
Before that, Ms. Palin was mayor of the 9k town of Wasila AK for two terms but Richmond has 200k residents to 7k residents in Wassila according to Ms. Palin's Wikpedia page. Wassila, AK is in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (equivalent to a county), which, according to a web search runs the schools, one of the biggest headaches of cities that host their own--yes even those with school boards, if parents really care about a good education for their kids
Before the Richmond council gig, Kaine was a lawyer recognized as specializing in housing discrimination.
Ms. Palin is described as previously a sportscaster.
I think the history shows that Kaine's governmental background before his governorship was more substantial than Ms. Palin's. To her credit though the Alaska governor did try to bulk up her resume with attempted mass book bannings and the firing (later rescinded due to popular demand) of the city's librarian for her refusal to go along with the bans.
So "Way to go Sarah."! Yeah, a real long way to go, unless you can ride GOP lies all the way to the White House.
