9 Insider Secrets to Getting Hired

11-24-09 7:07 P GMT-08

WP: Hasan Had More Contacts with American-Yemeni Iman al-Aulaqi (al-Awlaki)

11-21-09 8:04 P GMT-08
Report says the Major and the cleric discussed money transfers and other actions (that has Sen Levin calling the Ft. Hood shooting spree a terrorist action.) Still, there were two terrorists in Massachusetts who never acted because MA has strict gun laws. Texas has very lax codes. Another factor is the lack of full and complete checks of anyone who buys the most dangerous types of guns, like the cop killer that Hasan used.

Too Many Breast Cancers Diagnosed by Mammograms?

11-18-09 8:08 P GMT-08
LA Lady: I've seen this in my own family. My sister found a series of "lumps" by self examination as promoted in the 80s. Each one caused extreme stress and expensive medical bills as it was removed and examined though we haven't had breast cancer in our immediate family whether post or pre-menopausal type. Luckily, she had good employer based insurance for it. So I'm for the new guidelines. Why get women into unnecessary "pre-existing condition" problems for lumps, even cancerous ones that disappear rapidly. Eat lots of fruit, veggies, whole grains, and other whole foods you can find at a local farmer's market.

A Liberal's Hit List: Limbuagh's Crew Misses Hoax and Treats Obama Thesis Satire as Truth

10-25-09 7:11 A GMT-08
Yeah, so Limbaugh got scammed. Well it is important, because though his listeners call him a comedian, they treat him like a news reporter (a similar lack of skepticism is found in Glenn Beck fans. Therefore with Limbaugh and Beck, who make lots of money and can afford quality help it's almost criminal that they don't avail themselves of them. Apparently though TV advertisers are more sensitive to the standards of a show host. After Limbaugh spread racism a few years ago, a concerted effort was made by a large number of liberals to get his advertisers to give him the heeve ho, without much of the success that one group has had getting advertisers to drop Glenn Beck due to his racist remarks. The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.

Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.

Florida Teen Questioned About Obama as Joker Posters in Town. Some Decry a Double Standard Compared to Obama Hope Posters from Last Year.

Obama Hope And Homeless Lincoln
Duo share a part of a post-Katrina neighborhood.
If you know Banksy's work you recognize it in the Lincoln picture.  I don't know who these Obama posters were created by, nor how, or by whom they were placed.  I assume the job was done by the property owners or people who didn't get caught gluing them to the removable board.  Someone alert Alex Jones' bloggers.  Here's another grave injustice.  Can't taggers all just get caught! (Just kidding).

A contest announced by Alex Jones' Info Wars site goading followers to plaster the Obama as joker posters on the walls and poles of their cities has led to at least one arrest in Florida and to enraged citzens taking it upon themselves to remove the graphics from their streets.

Even Fox News admits that the posters were placed on public and private buildings.  According to the Info Wars site the posters are supposed to be legal on public, non federal property only.

Excerpt Fox News

Clermont Police Capt. Eric Jensen said the suspect who was taken into custody but not charged, told investigators he affixed some of the posters recently found on the city's light poles, public and private buildings, overpasses, mailboxes and other locations.

"We're still trying to gather more suspects and ascertain more witnesses," Jensen told FOXNews.com. "We haven't made any arrests yet."

Jensen said witnesses told investigators a "couple of kids" were also responsible for affixing the posters along with the unidentified teenager. Charges of vandalism could be considered, he said. The severity of the charges will be depend on damages to property, which have not be tallied yet.

...

Jensen estimated 500 posters reportedly were strewn across the city of Claremont, but that figure was difficult to verify since an untold number of them had been removed as of Friday.

"We don't really have a count because people who were offended started tearing them down," he said. "But we know there's more than one suspect."

The contest is announced at Info Wars .

A writer at Alex Jones' Prison Planet (how many blogs does that guy need?)  whines at " ”" that there is a double standard about these posters compared with the Shepard Fairey Obama posters put up last year and praised by candidate Obama .

Conveniently the blogger at Prison Planet can't prove whether or not the Democrats who may have praised the earlier posters knew if  the Shepard Fairey creations were ever placed inappropriately.   No proof needed in the world of Alex Jones' bloggers.  Nor does the writer even attempt to learn if anyone was caught placing the Shepard Fairey posters on utility poles and charged or arrested. Lots of people break such minor laws with impunity, because they don't get caught, Dummies.

But whining and attempting to bully local law enforcement officials is so much more fun anyway.

What has been accepted even by Fox News is that the Obama as Joker posters were placed (in a Florida community) on public and private buildings, and (by the Prison Planet blog on "utility poles").

Though utilities are often called "public utilities" our local public utility delivering nearly all of the Los Angeles area electricity is the Southern California Edison Company.  No one mistakes that company for a government entity and their poles along with those shared with the local telephone utilities are considered private property.

The company sends down crews when a pole, a line, or other equipment is damaged, not the government.

(Case in point: We had a lot of fun watching crews work to replace our three house transformer at a local pole after an LA area quake in 1987.  Our immediate neighbor to one side still had power and they shared via long cord their energy to keep our refrigerator cold.  The new transformer was installed just before dark after a quake that had happened about 8 am.  Those weren't government employees coming to exchange the transformer, but Edison employees.  Public utilities are regulated by the government, but aren't owned by the government and their property shouldn't be considered 'public'.)

Yet, the poorly informed writer,  Kurt Nimmo, uses utility poles to prove his point and then goes on to rant about many other things, which those who buy into the Alex Jone's mantra that white males are being oppressed and that minorities and liberals are behind it all.

Bigotry, rage, greed, and fear (leading to gun dependence) is the bait and this is how they hook a lot of people into the idea that violence is needed now.

Sad really.

Try punching , or probably into the google search bar and get an eyeful of public  discourse on the subject, mostly all agreeing that all signs on utility poles are illegal.   Signs by roadways, especially controlled roads like highways, freeways, and parkways are also illegal.  Even your own lawn is not safe, except for political signs and signs advertising the sale of the house on the property.  Well, with political signs at least you should be safe there, as long as the sign is of modest size.

Interestingly, many groups think that their political signs especially religio-political symbols belong everywhere on public property.  I don't see that as a general law.  I assume that groups like the teabaggers are used to bullying local law enforcement officials into giving in to them.

This is disconcerting as that has lead to people showing up at townhalls for our Congressional representatives, and even outside one with the President of our nation with firearms and threats without much control by local police departments.

An apparently newer report at Prison Planet "" says that the Clermont, Florida law enforcement people have contacted the state Attorney General for clarification on the legality of the signs.

The department also clarified why the Obama-Joker posters are considered more illegal than garage sale signs stuck up on the telephone pole by the corner.  Most of the little signs put up by those holding garage sales (and I suppose looking for a lost pet) are put up with staples or tape, and the effects of such placement are easily erased by 'code enforcement' employees.  The Obama-Joker posters are stuck on with permanent glue that will likely be around even after the poster face is gone.

And remember that these were also placed on some private buildings.

This latest article referenced is not dated or by-lined but reminds you at the bottom that and unknown group labeled "they" are suppressing the cancer cure!!!!!

An ad in the middle shows how the gov'ment gonna clear the stores of food so you and yo family won't have nuttin' to eat. That's because ammunition supplies are (according to them) low.

But Prison Planet will save you!

Right now they are busy taking care of some local law enforcement by equating permanently gluing offensive posters to people's houses and businesses with letting your dog pee on a neighbor's lawn.

But soon they will get around to saving the world for you with their second amendments (as long as they can find some bullets).

Send money quick!
