If this is what it takes to wake up the kinds of people who think we only need feel good movies (or religion) to get us through this life, I guess that's what has to be.
I feel crappy for this family, but I'm betting money will be given to the father without them losing their daughter. Hopefully the money comes from the guys who made so much off of her work.
But there are millions in the Indian ghettos who will not be so lucky as to avoid selling children or to avoid being sold into slavery.
So much for glorious Capitalism.

According to reports the father is denying that he ever intended to sell his daughter and asserts he only met with the disguised reporters to be polite, and because he thought the situation might have been a set up by his ex- wife to get custody of the child.
