Happy Birthday Lincoln and Darwin

A. Yes, many evangelicals do believe in evaluation. You only hear about the science deniers for the same reason you hear all the right wing political 'explanations' of what is really happening in our country from mainstream media, while they have stuffed most liberal, even real centrist discourse into a small, locked, box.

B. Unlike the singer of this fine piece, I don't believe Obama can fix every little thing that is wrong with America immediately. That would, indeed, be asking him to be magical, or even menial. We allowed the problems to grow and the hidden money to be funneled to those who support fat cats and big business for many decades, some through political laziness, and us liberals through the idea that if we sing songs, or make posts and twitters asking for impossible quests from the politicians on our side, we will get everything we want, when instead we break down the support for our people.  Until we start helping bolster our admittedly flawed "liberal as we can get under these circumstances" politicians, while push further on issues without wounding our own people, then we face more losses in the future to the right which brings us wars, economic destruction, and unsafe food.
