From AP report at Yahoo News "Clinton campaign making final assessments "
In a rare departure from the campaign trail, the New York senator and former first lady planned to hold an end-of-primary rally in New York Tuesday night, inviting donors and offering to fly field staffers from around the country to attend. She had no other events scheduled for Tuesday and aides said she planned to be on the telephone calling superdelegates in a last-ditch effort to undercut Obama's lead.
The report also says that aides claim she is not preparing to concede the primary. But:
"I want to say also that this may be the last day I'm ever involved in a campaign of this kind," former President Clinton said.
Well, he did say "may".
Hmm, what's up. Are they really making headway among the superdelegates with their unsubstantiated rumors and racist Southern Strategy?
Did they get the Obama camp agree to pay off their debts if they became more rational from now on? Well, why wouldn't they agree? They've about destroyed Obama's ability to win in November, setting Hillary up for 2012.
Hillary's a fighter her followers say, especially the well placed ones who might be up for good positions in a new Clinton administration.
Well, Hillary didn't fight for Al Gore. Hillary didn't fight for John Kerry. Where was this attitude in 2000 and 2004 when she sat back and saved her reputation because the time wasn't right for 'her' run? Well having another Democrat become president might have hurt her chances, so.... Yes, an Al Gore presidency would have been up by 2009, but there was only one elected change within a party after 8 years of presidency during the 20th century, and that was the Reagan, Bush 41 succession. So it was advantageous for Hillary to have a Republican be president for 8 years. By the end she would be a one and a half term senator and could look down on a first term senator.
I don't think she's giving up Tuesday either. Not with the latest of her camp's dirty tricks just being hatched.
