The daughter of former Iranian president Rafsanjani has been arrested by Iranian security forces for attending and speaking at demonstrations which have followed a perceived flawed election on June 12, 2009. (Just one reason for that perception is that 40 million hand written ballots were claimed to have been counted within a few hours showing the winner was the incumbent who received an unbelievable number of votes sucking up nearly all the third and fourth candidates' support as polled only a week before the election.)
Faizeh Rafsanjani had been filmed at banned demonstrations. Some experts conjecture that the arrest of his daughter will cause the head of the 'Assembly of Experts' which chooses the Supreme Leader of Iran to work to force Ayatollah Khamenei (also spelled Khamanei by Iranians) out.
Other important political leaders are expressing doubts on the election as well.
See details on that and 10 killed at Saturday's demonstrations which the government is blaming on 'terrorists' and the opposition leaders.

What appear to be disinformation twitterers are reporting that Mousavi has been arrested for he death of Neda, a young woman (17 years old), at a demonstration yesterday which has been shown on video in many places on the Internet. Yeah, that's it. Old Mousavi started this big broohaha just so he could run around and shoot teenagers while hiding among the crowd.
You have to almost love the propaganda from the hardliners in Iran. It's so pure, like drinking lye.
Update: Later it was reported that Rafsanjani's relatives were released. Just wanted to make that clear, though also clear is the threat that, of course, they could be re-arrested at any time.
