I know I was distracted by the complete disappearance of my blogging host from the realms of the Internet for some odd reason, but I'm sure when I read the reports at c. 9 pm PDT (Midnight EDT) there was no mention of Pearl, which means the news hadn't come out at that time.

Josh White at the Washington Post added it to the top and then the Post placed it as a new report. (Personally, though it takes more of their webspace, I appreaciate the WP moving to the second type of report. Having a report I post on shift was terribly disturbing, though one could argue the benefits of a self updating article too.
