The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me

Boy does that work niftily. More news to cover the U.S. Attorney scandal.
The NY Times report shows that this information was not in the transcript, but was released later.
I 'wonder at what rate other tidbits of the hearings and findings from Guantanamo will drip out.
I know I was distracted by the complete disappearance of my blogging host from the realms of the Internet for some odd reason, but I'm sure when I read the reports at c. 9 pm PDT (Midnight EDT) there was no mention of Pearl, which means the news hadn't come out at that time.
Adam Liptik at the NYT added the information to his report on the transcript (and near the end). LInk to this report is in post below.
Josh White at the Washington Post added it to the top and then the Post placed it as a new report. (Personally, though it takes more of their webspace, I appreaciate the WP moving to the second type of report. Having a report I post on shift was terribly disturbing, though one could argue the benefits of a self updating article too.
