The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me

Herbert says that Palin is just a distraction to our real problems. Focus on the issues.
I somewhat disagree, but didn't want to blank Mr. Herbert out.
But the fact that John McCain chose Ms. Palin who is so unqualified to take on the presidency if something should happen to him is an issue. His method of choosing her also reflects on his judgement. And the Republicans continually use distractions to get more out of ordinary Americans to give to their fat cat donors.
I'm not convinced that showing America what the McCain camp has done by picking Ms. Palin is bad. It is part and parcel of exposing their penchant for favoring some people over others -- something the Bush administration did so often.

Me: I'm surprised this piece was even allowed in mainstream news media. But I'm sure the McCain camp's media intimidation squad will so be making the round to keep such negative thinking out of mainstream in the future.
