After he and Sarah have spent weeks riling up their red meat followers with lies and insinuations about the Democratic candidate, McCain in Florida (not Minnesota) tells more lies about the race and implies that Democrats are behind the crappy deals we're getting out of the rescue package.
And then he explicitly calls for his followers to fight to get him in office.
Excerpt ABC News Political Radar "McCain Encourages Supporters to 'Stand up and Fight'":
Gov. Sarah Palin, of Alaska, introduced McCain, and seemed to try to redirect some of the anger supporters were expressing last week to the financial mess on Wall Street and insider dealing in Washington.
“"We know all across America right now there is a lot of anger,” Palin said. “There is anger about the insider dealings of lobbyists and anger about the greed on Wall Street and anger about the arrogance of the Washington elite and anger about voter fraud. America--America, let John McCain turn that anger into action!"
McCain concluded his remarks extolling the crowd to stand with him.
“Stand up, stand up and fight,” McCain said. “America is worth fighting for. Nothing is inevitable here. We never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.”
Now remember this is Florida into which hundreds of people with guns flooded in 2000. Where we saw a riot in a counting venue which stopped a vote that would have put the Democrat into office.
Recently in Minnesota McCain shamed an elderly lady who was just repeating in her way what his campaign and their Internet trolls have been repeating ad infinitum for many months.
Yet, here, in Florida, among those who might be most likely to start violence, he calls for them to fight.
Someone should start shouting Shame! Shame! at him.
And they expect us to cave if they play their games in Florida again this year.
Elections being decided by people threatening or actually creating violence. Anyone want to telle me when that results in democracy? I hope we can figure that out this time and demand a democratic solution to the election instead of one in which vote counting was stopped by violence and the threat of violence.
We've seen what their theocracy rammed down our throats to benefit big business and the wealthy accomplishes. We'll be struggling with the effects of the last 8 years for generations.
God help us if we elect the psuedo-Christian warmonger and his theocratic president-in-waiting governor this year.
