This is what we are protecting while our troops die and our economy goes down the drain?

For our complicity, troop deaths, and trillions in taxpayer dollars, the destruction of the US economy. Big Oil will get light sweet crude on which they can jack up prices and sell to us, making themselves richer and more powerful than ever.
We also get to continue our rendition of WW2 Germany and Japan as we give the okay to our leaders to take over parts of the world so businesses can have access to resources at spoils of war prices (though, as we see from Iraq, we don't get to enjoy the benefits, but pay even more for the same).
Which candidate is sure to get us out of this quickly. Of the electable ones, maybe no one.
If we want to get in deeper though the sure thing to do is vote for John McCain who is even in favor of an enforced national service and promotes a gimmicky 18 month enlistment period as if no one had ever heard of "Stop Loss".
