Four out of five of Jewish Israelis would take no extraordinary measures if Iran was able to create a working nuclear weapon because they don't believe the weapon would be used against their nation.
That being said 59% of the nation's Jews favor using a preemptive attack on Iran to curb the development of nuclear weapons. I mirrored the report's use of "preemptive" label for such an attack because we understand from the Nuremburg trials that preemptive war is the same as aggressive war and therefore banned by international law. People were executed in the 40s for waging such violence.
The Bush administration, whether spurred on by Israel or not, resurrected the idea of large scale preemptive war, among nations that were not world recognized pariahs (oh wait) though Israel has used a preemptive strike on an Iraqi nuclear facility in the 1980s.
