Comment, LA Lady:
Working class men tend to make up the crowds that go to see the VP candidate, so I guess we can assume that her fans are mostly men, instead of the women she claims to be courting.
I guess that could be a reason for the tight skirts.
What "18 million cracks in the glass ceiling"?
Hon, this game has been played, like for-e-ver.
The report is at IHT (no registration needed) "'Sarah Dude' population forms deep bonds with Palin ".
While there are plenty of women, including wives and daughters of male fans, at Palin's appearances, they acknowledge they are outnumbered. "This is not a ladies campaign," Linda Teegan said at a rally in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire, on Wednesday. She was taking a snapshot of the crowd.
"There seem to be lots and lots of guys here," she said. "I'd guess 70-30, maybe 65-35, men to women. It's quite noticeable to me."
The men tend to make themselves noticed. "You tell 'em baby," a man yelled out at a rally Wednesday night on a high school football field in Salem, New Hampshire.
And Palin tells 'em, peppering her rallies with references to guy-themed stuff - hunting, fishing, hockey. She introduced her husband, Todd, as "Alaska's First Dude."
So, at the most 35% women and many apparently telling the reporter that they are at the rally mostly because of men they are with. You get the picture.
