The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me
Commandos Raid Hostage Takers in Mumbai (Update Ambassador Denies Israeli Commandos Involved in Mumbai Rescue. Death Toll Up to 143.))

Indian and reportedly Israeli commandos fought those who took hostages on Friday with a raid being initiated at a Mumbai Jewish Center (Mumbai time) in the morning and other combat continuing from earlier.. A diplomatic source said that Israeli commandos are in charge of the rescue attempt at a Mumbai Jewish Centre according to AFP report "Special forces launch assault on Mumbai hostage-takers". Unfortunately, A New York Times article "Indian Commandos Storm Jewish Center" reports there seem to have been "hundreds of shots being fired over the next four hours". Authorities went through the two hotels attacked this week looking for more people in hiding and victims. The AFP noted that one of the attackers says they were lowered by helicopter into the sea and came up to Mumbai by boat. An AP report "Indian Forces Battle Militants in Mumbai" says that the Israeli ambassador has denied that his country-mates were among the commandos who entered the 'ultra orthodox Jewish outreach group Chabad Lubavitch' building which the diplomat said held up to nine hostages. Sources have said that forces going into the Jewish center were masked, but this report seems to note that apparently government forces at other sites have been masked:
The gunmen were well-prepared, apparently scouting some targets ahead of time and carrying large bags of almonds to keep up their energy.
"It's obvious they were trained somewhere ... Not everyone can handle the AK series of weapons or throw grenades like that," an unidentified member of India's Marine Commando unit told reporters, his face wrapped in a black mask. He said the men were "very determined and remorseless."
As predicted Indian officials are blaming groups within Pakistan for helping to arm and train the terrorists, but seem to be making talking points aim towards cooperation on combatting the problem jointly.
The death toll being reported for the attack has risen to 143. I don't see any indication if that includes a estimation of bodies still unavailable but seen or if the number means only the bodies they have recovered. Let's hope that number falls with a final accounts.
