The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me
Woman Tasered for Not Moving Fast Enough
This is the new safe torture according to our government.
Note near the end the tough looking guy watching, putting his hand to his mouth as people do when shocked by something horrific.
Commenter at The Lede article "Don’t Faze Me, Bro? Taser Business Rolls " notes that the charge in tasering is stronger than the one used in electrocution in the one state, Nebraskea, that still practices that archaic version of death by torture method.
As I wrote there, the LAPD has seen at least 20 years since their problems started coming to light. And they just had their last police riot in May of this year. They do not need a free hand with Tasers.
At least before they used their guns or even billy clubs-flashlights etc, they were supposed to think. Now with safe "Tasers" they can torture at will.
Uses for Tasers:
Moving people along.
Punishing people who kick your crappy police car.
Stopping long winded questions (or annoying ones) at political events.
Keeping people in "Free Speech" areas.
Policing libraries to punish quietly reading people who can't produce ID, (especially minorities) .
Injuring Members of the National Guard Although in this case the guy might want to thank those police who kept him from a second deployment in Iraq.
