I might not be like what you've been told.
Nicholas Kristof reports on one woman's experience with both American style health insurance and and Canadian Single Payer.
His report "This Time, We Won’t Scare " might be something you want to print out and leave around your home if you have teens or other voters in it. Take it to family outings and leave it lying around.
It might strike a chord with someone.
Mr. Kristof seems think that people won't get fooled again this time.
I'm not so sure.
But there's nothing like showing people the difference they could know with a public insurance plan, and if we want the president's public option to survive, then we need to remind people how good having a public health plan option can be for them whether or not they use it.
Because it will help keep private plans honest and their rates lower, and because it would always be an option if the private health care industry should try using anti competative practices.
