Studies are showing that there is some correlation between hypertension and male pattern baldness, especially that which shows early onset.
That may shake the core out from under the bluster of youngish guys who don't know why they are balding early, but were at least sure in the past that it wasn't the burger and fries they ate 2-3 times a day.
If married, many men still demand big hunks of meat on the plate and consider a potato and butter all the vegetable they should be forced to look at on their plate.
I don't know how often I've heard the boast about "meat and potatoes" kind of guy.
Unfortunately that could also be an bald kind of guy, heading for an early grave.
I'm thinking that the baldness connection may be the key to getting us to eat better, instead of insisting that it's our natural right to eat like neanderthals.
And you want to know what's weird? Once you take the plunge into chopping up and preparing vegetables you can eat with pasta or potatoes and smaller portions of meat or even fish you may find they make the meal a lot better as and the wife and I did.
Really. Try it.

According to KTUU.com :
Dave Dittman, a former aide and longtime family friend of former Sen. Ted Stevens says Stevens was killed in a plane crash near Dillingham Monday night. Nine people were on board, including former NASA Chief Sean O'Keefe. Five people were killed in the crash, but other identities were not known, nor are the conditions of the survivors.
The New York Times reports that Stevens lost his first wife in the crash of a small plane at Anchorage airport in 1978 (though this history has been widely reported since the news of the plane came out late last night), and predicted his own death in similar circumstances even before his wife died. It also says that the wide use of small aircraft to travel the vast stretches of Alaska, make such incidents common.
Yeah, one of those which was supposed to be hosting next month's event.
