A new scam is being spread through Facebook.
A program searches a computer's cookies for Facebook friends and then offers those friends a chance to see a video (is it that one with the guy deliberately going under the bus?). If the recipient chooses to view the video, the offer informs them that they need to install a flash viewer update, but thats a lie and malware is sent instead. After the installation of the malware it searches the new victim's cookies for Facebook friends
See how that goes?
But it will only work on Windows machines, so you Apple users don't get to have any of the fun.
Go eat worms.
Well, maybe a better explanation comes from vnunet.com's "Fresh Facebook malware attack spotted ".
I can smell and new Apple v Windows commercial in the making. But then again, as a Vista victim, I guess the Redmond folks have it coming.
