The Above Linkblogs Might Contain "Borrowed" links.
Linkblogs do not substantially contribute traffic to my blog that I can discover. They all go offsite, and are often accessed from my blog. It's possible to access them from the RSS according to my settings. Still, even if I were to get ads clicking on a linkblog from the RSS won't drive more people to my blog than otherwise because they leave my resources. (Note to self, do more posts, less LBs with sources I find). I explain because I sometimes borrow links from people at Twitter, and often forget who put them up. (To fellow Twitterers: If you have a link to your blog, I will point it there, but Twitter, being impermanent, cannot hold your link for people to discover from there. I only 'borrow' them to get news out to as many people as I can who might not have seen the reports and videos found by the smart people I follow at Twitter or find in search rooms.RSS Add-Me
Young Japanese lose interest in whaling

They'd rather watch whales than eat them according to an AP report widely distributed, and young Japanese prefer other sources of protein.

Other reports have noted that whale meat doesn't even sell well enough to take care of the scientific research 'kill'.
This report notes that the Japanese government may force children to eat the meat in their school lunches so that they will develop a taste for it.
Last year a report noted that a trial of putting the meat into dog food was started (until outcry stopped the experiment).
So, they can't sell all the whale meat that they slaughter the intelligent animals for.
What is the great need for the hunt?
Donations from the whaling industry to the Japanese government, obviously.
The only way we will stop the Japanese government from favoring the whalers with political support, etc. is to make it too expensive for other Japanese businesses because of their continued whaling.
Another report also notes that Japanese are claiming their right to return to commercial whaling as "aboriginals". Aboriginals with a fleet of massive whaling ships, right.
